The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) invites applications for Office Specialist II to support the Director of the Early Childhood Division for the Blind/Visually Impaired. This full-time, in-office position is located in Ogden, Utah, 84404, United States.

You will manage calendars, draft correspondence, use Word, Excel, Google Suites, and PowerSchool to produce reports, maintain confidential files, and coordinate purchasing and travel.

Qualifications

  • Broad secretarial and administrative support skills with strong computer abilities.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and communicate information for director's tasks.
  • Clear, tactful communication and strict confidentiality in handling data.
  • Working knowledge of Utah state processes and purchasing practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain calendars, schedule appointments, meetings and travel.
  • Draft correspondence and documents; edit for accuracy and formatting.
  • Create graphics, databases, spreadsheets using various software.
  • Generate data for federal/state/agency reports with thorough research.
  • Review and route outgoing/incoming correspondence; ensure timely actions.
  • Record and transcribe minutes; manage confidential files and privacy rules.
  • Utilize PowerSchool to manage student data and generate reports.
  • Coordinate purchasing and orders for staff, classroom, and supplies.
