Administrative Services Asst/UKHC role at Inside Higher Ed
The Department of Pediatrics at UK HealthCare is seeking an Administrative Services Assistant to support the Business Manager of Finance in a large and complex department. This position plays a key role in maintaining accountability across the department’s operations with a strong emphasis on accuracy in accounting, reporting, and financial transactions. Because the work is highly matrixed, the role requires familiarity with a variety of financial, grant, and administrative systems.
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for preparing invoices, assisting with budget development, and compiling financial reports to support departmental planning and decision-making. The role also involves managing purchasing activities, ensuring that supplies are ordered, received, and recorded accurately, and processing financial transactions with proper documentation and coding. In addition, the Finance Assistant will support annual tasks such as completing equipment and space inventories, while ensuring that records are maintained in compliance with institutional guidelines.
