Job summary

Rappahannock Community College seeks an Administrative & Office Specialist III to provide essential support to the Workforce Development Division. The role assists students with registration, funding eligibility, and enrollment requirements while managing communications and file retention.

Responsibilities include coordinating with prospective enrollees, handling inquiries, and proctoring credentialing tests.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate at a high level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Experience with and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel).
  • Experience with accurately managing file systems.
  • Experience with Zoom meetings and telephone systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students with registration and determine funding eligibility and enrollment requirements.
  • Work with students interested in Workforce classes to complete applications for college courses.
  • Gather information, perform data entry, create databases, and retain student files.
  • Greet visitors and respond to telephone inquiries with tact and accuracy.
  • Administer and proctor tests for credentialing.
