Qualifications

• Current RN license in NYS.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• BLS and ACLS Certification.
• 5+ years clinical experience in acute care.
• 1+ years leadership experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, coordinate, execute and evaluate patient care, departmental systems, administrative, quality, safety and risk management issues on a 24 hour basis.
• Integrate the standards of excellence into daily clinical practice.
• Demonstrate professional growth and accountability for own practice and facilitate development of associates.
• Maintain professional competency through participation in professional activities.

The Administrative Nurse Manager demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.This position is accountable for managing all clinical administrative functions (patient care delivery, fiscal, material and human resources) of nursing unit (s) withing a Care Center on a 24-hour bases. The position is responsible to create an environment in which autonomy is nurtured, encouraged and reflected in a highly competent workforce capable of providing quality care. Professional interdisciplinary collaboration, communication and teamwork enacted enable care delivery to the customers and community to improve health and wellness. The position is responsible to uphold compliance with Montefiore Medical Center's policies/procedures, service excellence standards and regulatory requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES:This position has leadership responsibility.
