Job summary

Community Services Group in Lancaster, PA is seeking an Administrative Medical Assistant to greet clients, collect vital signs, and support the Telepsychiatry Program. You will work with providers, nurses, and office staff to keep patient information accurate in the EHR and assist with administrative duties at the outpatient location.

The role emphasizes Trauma Informed Care, Recovery and Resiliency, and Self-Determination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Experience in administrative medical assisting preferred.
  • Ability to obtain, record, and update patient demographics.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes individuals and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Interviews individuals to obtain medical information, vital signs, and anthropometric measurements.
  • Documents clinical information in EHR and reviews educational materials.
  • Assists with Telepsychiatry Program setup and operations.
  • Maintains supplies and keeps the vital sign and reception areas neat and clean.
  • Promotes enrollment in web and mobile tools (myStrength, Patient Portal).

As a member of the Mental Health Treatment (MHT) team, the Administrative Medical Assistant will learn and be cognizant of the principles of Trauma Informed Care, Recovery and Resiliency, and Self-Determination in order to fulfill the duties of their role. Understanding and aligning with the reason for CSG’s existence allows for the highest level of quality care to the individuals we serve.
