Job summary

San Jose State University’s School of Music seeks an Administrative Support Coordinator to coordinate the Spartan Marching Band and athletic band programs, handling administrative operations, event and travel logistics, and purchasing.

You will support students, faculty, and campus partners; manage calendars, communications, and records; and ensure compliant purchasing and reporting, with occasional evenings for events.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents.
• Two (2) years of related office work experience or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative operations for the Spartan Marching Band and athletic band programs.
• Organize event and travel logistics, and purchasing activities in line with university policies.
• Maintain program calendars, rehearsal schedules, and performance logistics.
• Support recruitment activities including campus visits and outreach programs.
• Prepare reports and maintain records to support planning and assessment.
