Description:
Coordinates the administrative operations of a department, including, but not limited to, human resources, payroll, telecommunications, building maintenance, and property inventory.
- Coordinates personnel administration including employee sign-up,faculty folders, payroll and implementation of related policies andprocedures.
- Coordinates department administrative operations, includingtelecommunications, physical plant work orders, long distancecodes, parking permits and ID card requests.
- Maintains personnel records such as employee information,timesheets and lost time reports; tracks status of submitted personnel and administrative forms.
- May coordinate and compile information for various programs andactivities for faculty and graduate students.
- Oversees the work assignments of clerical staff and coordinatesdaily office operations.
- Coordinates all aspects of space management and conductsproperty inventory for the department.
- Reviews personnel andadministrative documents for adherence to university regulationsprior to obtaining certifying signature.
- Assists faculty, staff and students with personnel andadministrative issues; serves as departmental liaison toadministrative departments on campus.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
MQ: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.

- Serve as the front desk and first point of contact for guestsentering the Center for Student Advocacy and Community
- Hire, train, and supervise student employees; coordinate coverageof the front desk, approve time, and provide training and coachingto help students develop professionally
- Provide office function and event support such as shopping runsfor office materials, event set-up /teardown, and making roomreservations and calendar appointments
- Maintain department inventory such as office supply orders,equipment checkout, and storage organization.
- Create and process expenditure requests in compliance withuniversity policy and department processes
- Reconcile the budget monthly and keep the supervisor informed ofthe status of accounts
- Contribute to division-wide events and morale-boostingactivities
- Other duties as assigned
- This position reports directly to the Director of the Center for Student Advocacy and Community
