Responsibilities
- Assist with academic course management for multiple departments. This includes proctoring and electronic grading of texts/exams, recording grades in D2L and CheckMarq, and performing other course‑related coordination tasks.
- Provide direct support for the Chair of the Department of Surgical and Diagnostic Dental Sciences and the Chair of the Department of Developmental Sciences.
- Monitor and record student progress toward meeting program requirements.
- Schedule and proctor course exams for departmental faculty.
- Manage Department Chair and departmental faculty schedules.
- Schedule and coordinate departmental meetings; attend meetings to record and subsequently distribute meeting minutes.
- Update and maintain department directories/contacts, faculty manuals, clinic manuals, and clinical treatment guides.
- Process PCard expense reports and faculty expense reimbursement reports in iExpense.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an office support role.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Discretion, flexibility, and courteous demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work and communicate with people from a diverse population.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and frequent interruptions in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Computer competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Preferred: Administrative support experience in higher education.
