Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking an Administrative Assistant in Production Development to support the EVP and the team. This full-time role blends office-based tasks with calendar management, travel planning, expense processing, and coordination with production staff.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of administrative experience in a production setting, strong organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. A hybrid work arrangement is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in an administrative role at a production company, agency, management company or studio.
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize in an Assistant role.
  • Minimum 1 year experience and demonstrated ability in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support.
  • Read/watch content and provide opinions on materials.
  • Schedule meeting requests and manage calendar.
  • Process expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Interact with production employees.
  • Arrange travel, all accommodations, and prepare comprehensive itineraries.

  • Manage the distribution of office correspondence and incoming calls.
  • Manage special projects as designated.

The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the EVP of Production Development. This position may require frequent requests to read/watch and provide opinions on material in addition to managing day-to-day administrative functions and support. Ideal candidates should be acutely detail oriented, have a passion for films, screenplays and books, and possess an expansive worldview. Agency experience is preferred but not required.

  • Act as a liaison with all internal and external offices.
  • Manage the distribution of office correspondence and incoming calls.
  • Manage special projects as designated.
  • Provide general support for other administrative duties and execute professional needs as assigned.
    • Minimum 1 year experience working in an administrative capacity at a production company, agency, management company, or studio.
    • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated successful organizational skills and ability to prioritize in an Assistant role.
    • Minimum 1 year experience and demonstrated ability in Microsoft Work, Outlook and Excel.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Agency experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of the development world as well as familiarity with major film agents, agencies, writers and directors.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong sense of urgency

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
