Job description

Description

To support Pharmacy Operations under the direction of Pharmacy Management, including e-time, scheduling, payroll, and Human Resources issues. Provide clerical support such as bookkeeping, accounting, typing, and billing for the materials management and purchasing components of the pharmacy department. Make Customer Service a priority by treating customers (patients, visitors, and co-workers) professionally with courtesy and tact. Communicate effectively with patients and others about SBH services within your area of responsibility, ensuring concerns or questions are directed to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing enterprise e-time payroll and payroll accrual reports: perform daily payroll updates, access and navigate the Enterprise e-time application, view and edit employee e-time.
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance: monitor pharmacy subscriptions and licenses annually, and ensure pharmacist and technician licenses are up-to-date.
  • Policy management: maintaining pharmacy policies.
  • Clerical duties: answering phones, coordinating mail delivery and distribution, prioritizing mail for senior management, scheduling meetings, photocopying, filing, ordering office supplies, maintaining department calendar, and updating the pharmacy conference room schedule.
  • Handling maintenance, engineering, and I.T. work requests.

Qualifications

  • Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • License(s) Required: N/A.
  • Experience/Skills Required: Business background is a plus. Must have knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Typing speed of at least 50 WPM. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Publisher, Word). Familiarity with ADP, Cardinal, pharmacy purchasing, and materials management software. Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology is helpful.
