University of California, Riverside is seeking an Administrative Assistant for Pathway Programs. The role requires at least four years of related administrative experience in a university setting, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Recruiting for an administrative support position in Pathway Programs. Demonstrated administrative experience in a university or higher education environment is required. This is a grant-funded position and continued funding is contingent upon future grant renewals. Current grant funding for this position is projected through October 1, 2029. Please note: this position will be fully onsite at the UCR campus during the first six-month probationary period. After that, the position may be eligible to transition to a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite / 2 days remote. Additionally, the position requires in-person attendance for weekly Tuesday meetings and approximately three to five special events each year, as well as other in-person activities as needed. The full salary range for the Administrative Assistant-Pathways is $29.35 - $42.06 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $35.26 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Under the supervision of the Financial Operations Manager (FOM), coordinates, oversees, and/or performs a wide variety of financial and administrative support activities for the School of Medicine (SOM) Pathway Programs within the Department of Student Affairs. Provides support for the day-to-day various administrative support functions within the department. Initiates procurements, web recharges, travel coordination, event coordination, budget tracking, and processes reimbursements. The Administrative Assistant will provide primary support for assigned unit retreats, staff unit meeting, activity logistics, programmatic and team building events, etc. Responsible for documenting, communicating, and disseminating departmental, campus, and UC policies and guidelines to unit staff/faculty; fostering and sustaining appropriate customer/client relations. This position is supported by grant-funded Pathway Programs, including the California Medicine Scholars Program (CMSP). Current grant funding for this position is projected through October 1, 2029. Continuation of the position beyond that date is subject to the availability of funding and programmatic needs. This position begins as fully on-site during the required six-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of probation, the position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (typically three days on campus and two days remote), subject to departmental and operational needs. The position requires in-person attendance for weekly Tuesday meetings and approximately three to five special events each year, as well as other in-person activities as needed.
