The Kurdistan Regional Government Representation in the United States (KRG-US) is seeking a full-time, detail-oriented, and dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Washington, DC office. This is a dual-role position that combines responsibilities of both an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager, requiring flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple operational needs. This is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and conference calls for the Representative.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for building management needs, including:
  • HVAC and utilities
  • Deliveries
  • Liaison with vendors and property managers
  • Assist with the preparation and setup of meetings, including conference room arrangements, video teleconferencing, and audio equipment.
  • Provide administrative and research support as needed.
  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodations for the Representative and staff.
  • File, archive, and assist with record-keeping.
  • Maintain databases and perform basic data entry.
  • Handle basic accounting and expense tracking functions.
  • Manage office supplies, including ordering, restocking, and inventory tracking.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and coordinate maintenance or repair orders.
  • Monitor the condition of the office space and report or follow up on issues requiring immediate attention.
  • Provide basic IT troubleshooting support and liaise with external tech support vendors when needed.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in administrative or office management roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with basic IT systems and troubleshooting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
