Position Summary
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, providing office administration and operating support to the Department Chair of Nursing and the nursing program. This position also assists the Department Chair of Kinesiology on a limited basis. It is a full-time position.

Position Responsibilities
- Represents program in contact with on- and off-campus individuals; including students, administration, prospective students, alumni, clinical contacts, and others.
- Sets objectives and accomplishes them without need for frequent follow-up.
- Prepares documents, hospital MOA's, Attestation letters, student forms and immunization requirements.
- Performs routine tasks (copying, messages, phones, schedules).
- Prepares and updates official reports and spreadsheets (annual reports, mtg minutes, budget, student tracking).
- Handles requisition of materials and purchasing of supplies, processing monthly payment requests, PO's, and reconciles monthly purchase card statements.
- Provides research, scheduling and support to Dept Chair for travel and conferences.
- Provides program support for the website.
- Supervises student work-study staff.
- Provides support for prospective student visits, Early Commit, Eagle Base Camp registration, and department events.
- Maintains department files, including meeting minutes, budgets, contact file, calendars, student records, etc.
- Provides orientation for new faculty and staff, including entering adjunct & faculty overload proposals into curriculum management system.
- Maintains all databases for students and nursing department.
- Other duties as assigned by Nursing Department Chair and Kinesiology Department Chair.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Working knowledge of office productivity software (Microsoft Word and Excel) and computer hardware.
- Professional document preparation, writing and proofreading, filing, and supervision of student staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Five or more years office experience preferred with significant interpersonal interaction.
Education
High School Diploma Required. Some college or Associate's degree or above preferred.
Physical demands and work environment
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
