Position Summary

Administrative Assistant – Madison (Part‑Time Regular)

Serves as the welcoming first point of contact to current and prospective students and assists them in attaining their educational goals. Supports the public and creates goodwill through the community and the College.

Duties
  • Use the daily application report to consult with prospective students who have applied, assisting them with completing the application process (orientations, financial aid, scholarships, student support resources), and scheduling advising appointments.
  • Perform registration and process tuition payments for continuing education students.
  • Administer placement testing for curriculum and continuing education students.
  • Maintain the database for continuing education course offerings and contact students on waitlists and interest lists as courses are scheduled.
  • Schedule facilities for classes, civic groups, and organizations and enter information into the system.
  • Perform general administrative and receptionist services including greeting students and other visitors, answering telephones, performing data entry, and duplicating for instructors.
  • Contribute to the College’s Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
  • Support workforce diversity in all its aspects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate degree.
  • One year of part‑time or equivalent work experience performing administrative assistant duties.
  • One year of part‑time or equivalent direct customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of part‑time or equivalent experience working in an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, or American Sign Language.
Compensation

Hourly: $20.12

  • Failure to comply may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
