Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide general support to Group Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents. The role involves organizing routine departmental activities, coordinating travel, and handling confidential information.

Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication, high typing speed, and advanced MS Office skills. The position may require on-site work with potential remote components as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to Group Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents as required.
  • Maintain complex records and files related to highly confidential material.
  • Coordinate use of major conference rooms and upkeep of equipment.
  • Act as liaison between department managers and their staff in matters involving the GVPs and VPs, including meetings, documentation, and authorized actions.
  • Take appropriate authorized action in the absence of the GVP or VPs to ensure matters are referred and handled promptly.
  • Handle projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate travel (ground transportation, hotel accommodations, itineraries), ensuring office requirements at destination are met.
  • Manage the GVP’s calendar in close collaboration with other executive-level admins to ensure efficient information flow.
  • Receive and screen GVP communications, prioritizing urgent matters and redirecting callers to appropriate departments.
  • Conduct basic customer or competitor research via internet search or phone calls, and provide project support as needed.
  • Administer the corporate fleet program inbox, coordinating between drivers and vendor.
  • Resolve facility issues as required.

Position Purpose

Provides general administrative support to Group Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents as required. Ensures all day‑to‑day activities are resolved by maintaining ongoing communication, organizing routine departmental activities, and handling special projects.

Base Pay Range

The base pay range for this role is $25.82 – $54.64. The compensation is dependent on experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
