Florence-Darlington Technical College is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Admissions Clerk to support the Admissions Office. You will answer phones, direct inquiries, and handle mail and office supplies while delivering friendly service to students and campus visitors.
You will assist applicants on the College website, process information requests, open and distribute mail, and help coordinate mail-out projects. Strong communication, multitasking, and basic MS Office skills are required.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Answer all incoming phone lines and direct calls as necessary. Maintain all associated voice mailboxes; organize office supply orders on a regular basis; maintain inventory of all marketing and promotional materials; support the office of Admissions through various administrative tasks; provide high-level customer service to students, campus community, and guests in-person, by telephone, email, text messaging and other media formats; assist students in using the College website to answer general questions related to the admission application; perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and/or Dean of Enrollment.
High School Diploma. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; customer service and project management skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask; proficiency in spreadsheet and word-processing programs, including Microsoft Word, Access and Excel. Experience working in higher education is not required, but is a plus.
Will work no more than 29 hours per week.
