Padre Dam Municipal Water District seeks an Administrative Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities with discretion. You will support departments, prepare correspondence and reports, coordinate meetings, and maintain records using Microsoft Office 365.
The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED (or an associate’s degree) and at least four years of administrative experience, plus strong communication and customer service skills.

Successful Candidates will be invited to participate in a written test mid-to late October with interviews held late October early November.
This position is eligible for appointment within the following Salary Grades:
Salary Grade 18 – $33.79 – $47.80
Salary Grade 20 – $36.48 – $51.59
Salary Grade 23 – $40.08 – $56.68
The Administrative Assistant provides a variety of administrative and office support services to employees and departments throughout the District. Responsibilities may include serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers; preparing and proofreading correspondence, reports, agendas, minutes and other documents; maintaining electronic records and confidential files; coordinating meetings, appointments, travel and special events; processing purchase orders, invoices and other administrative documents; and assisting with contracts, purchasing and special projects. The position requires strong organizational, communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
