Job summary

Ability Matters is seeking an Administrative Assistant to help keep our teams organized, our projects moving, and our programs running smoothly in Columbus, OH. You’ll support recruitment, travel, events, and daily operations, contributing to our mission of community inclusion for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience supporting disability services is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Administrative Support: Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, maintain records, and support daily office operations.
  • Support Recruitment: Assist with community and networking events, outreach, and fundraising efforts.
  • Coordinate Travel: Support trip planning, communication, and logistics.
  • Manage Data & Reporting: Maintain tracking systems, compile reports, and support data accuracy across departments.
  • Support Organizational Projects: Assist leadership teams with presentations, communications, event planning, and operational initiatives.
  • Help Keep Teams Connected: Coordinate information, resources, and logistics that help programs run efficiently and effectively.
