Job summary

Community Health Alliance is seeking an Administrative Specialist to join our behavioral health team in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on welcoming clients, coordinating appointments, and supporting daily operational tasks within outpatient and community-based programs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in an administrative, medical office, healthcare, or customer service setting. Strong computer skills and a valid Ohio driver's license are required.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in an administrative, medical office, healthcare, or customer service environment.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients, visitors, and community partners while providing exceptional customer service in a professional and compassionate environment.
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, manage calendars, and assist clients with accessing behavioral health services.
  • Complete patient registration, verify demographic information, and support the intake and admissions process.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records, patient accounts, and administrative documentation in a timely manner.
  • Manage waitlists, coordinate appointment scheduling, and communicate with clients regarding upcoming services.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient office operations and a positive client experience.
  • Maintain office supplies, reception areas, and administrative records to support daily program operations.
  • Assist with reports, data tracking, special projects, and other administrative functions as assigned.
  • Protect client confidentiality while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and organizational policies.
