We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our childcare center. This person will often be the first point of contact for families, visitors, and staff, so a warm personality, professional communication, and a genuine desire to help others are essential.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and committed to creating a welcoming experience for every family who enters our center.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome families, children, visitors, and prospective parents in a warm and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, and direct questions to the appropriate team member
- Assist with enrollment inquiries, center tours, applications, and new-family onboarding
- Track attendance and help ensure required forms and documents remain current
- Assist with tuition records, payment follow-ups, receipts, and basic administrative reporting
- Support staff scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll preparation
- Prepare correspondence, notices, reports, spreadsheets, and other center documents
- Communicate important reminders, events, and center updates to families
- Help maintain compliance with childcare licensing and program requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-office area
- Provide administrative support to the director
- Assist teachers and classrooms when needed and appropriately qualified
- Help coordinate center events, family activities, and staff meetings
- Perform other reasonable duties that support the successful operation of the center

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous administrative, customer-service, school, or childcare experience preferred
- Experience in a licensed childcare center is a plus
- Ability to pass all required background and Central Registry checks
- Current TB test and physical, if required for the position
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred—or willingness to obtain certification
