Job description

The Administrative Officer (Finance) will be directly responsible to the DP Accountant fulfilling a variety of finance functions and providing support to the wider complement of staff.

Applicants must demonstrate that they possess the following criteria, by the closing date for applications. Each essential criteria will be applied.

1. 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) grades A* - C to include Mathematics and English Language; OR

2. NVQ Business Administration level II; OR

3. Minimum of three years' relevant experience in a finance administration role, with hands-on expertise in all of the following areas:

• Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office Suite and SAGE Line 50.

• Strong organisational and numerical skills.

• Ability to follow directions and work independently to meet targets and deadlines.

4. In addition to the above, the successful candidate will also:

• Display excellent customer service skills and a courteous manner.

• Possess the ability to remain calm under pressure.

• Have excellent time management and organisational skills.

5. Candidates must hold a full current driving licence (with not more than six penalty points) held for a minimum of two years.

Some or all of the following criteria MAY be used in the event of a large number of suitably qualified applications.

1. Experience of payroll (NI and IRE) and associated software packages (SAGE Payroll, Micropay).
