Job summary

Monmouth University on the West Long Branch campus seeks an Adjunct Professor in Social Work to teach 3-6 credits per semester in the BSW and MSW curricula, including policy, research, practice, human behavior and the social environment.

Description

Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Adjunct Professor in Social Work.

The candidate would be expected to: teach 3 – 6 credits per semester in theBSWandMSW(foundation and advanced) curriculum, including but not limited to policy, research, practice, human behavior and the social environment. Courses are taught in person at the West Long Branch campus. Adjunct positions remain posted continuously to expand the university’s pool of qualified adjunct faculty. Screening of applications will commence when an open position becomes available.Should a position become available, you will receive an email advising you of the next steps.

This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
  • Three years of social work experience.
  • Demonstrated evidence of maintaining professional currency.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eligible for New Jersey Professional Social Work Licensure.
  • Two years of post- MSW experience with individuals, families, groups or communities.
  • BSW or MSW teaching experience.
