Adjunct Professor- Accounting (Technical)

Subject to criminal background check. Employees must reside in Texas or Oklahoma. Resume and unofficial transcript required in addition to application. Pay rate is $670/course load.
Finalists will be required to present a 15 minute teaching segment on the accounting subject of their choice.

Title: Adjunct Professor- Accounting (Technical)

Job Summary: This position carries with it the obligation to uphold the Mission of North Central Texas College in carrying out the duties of the position. A commitment while embracing positive interpersonal behaviors, professional communication, integrity, leadership, stewardship, respect and accountability to our students and employees.

It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of course and program objectives and to contribute to the overall educational environment of the college and community and to provide related services such as academic advising, committee participation, professional development, community development as well as other service support that is needed in the fulfillment of the North Central Texas College’s Mission.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Treats students and colleagues with respect.
  • Teaching college courses in Technical Accounting classes.
  • Focuses teaching and outreach efforts on student success.
  • Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes, program level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.

Classes scheduled during the day, on campus depending on enrollment.

Required Education:

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Must be willing to teach online.

Required Experience:

3 years related work experience in any of the following areas: bookkeeping, auditing, forensic accounting, managerial accounting or staff accounting.

Preferred Experience:

4+ years’ related work experience in any of the following areas: bookkeeping, auditing, forensic accounting, managerial accounting or staff accounting. Online teaching experience. College teaching experience.
