Job summary

North Central Texas College on the Gainesville campus seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Principles of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Technical Accounting. Classes are scheduled during the day and on campus depending on enrollment.

The successful candidate will hold a master’s degree in accounting (or 18 graduate hours in accounting) and be willing to teach in-person. Finalists must present a 15-minute teaching segment and complete required documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Accounting.
• Must be willing to teach in-person classes on the Gainesville campus.
• Prefer community college teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach college courses in Principles of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and/or Technical Accounting; classes scheduled during the day, on campus depending on enrollment.
• Contribute to institutional effectiveness, student learning outcomes, and program outcomes.
• Focus teaching and outreach on student success.
• Other duties as assigned; duties may change based on department needs.

Job Summary

It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of course and program objectives and to contribute to the overall educational environment of the college and community and to provide related services such as academic advising, committee participation, professional development, community development as well as other service support that is needed in the fulfillment of the North Central Texas College’s Mission. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Teaching college courses in Principles of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and/or Technical Accounting classes. Classes scheduled during the day, on campus depending on enrollment.

• Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes, program level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement.

Required Education

Preferred Skills & Abilities

Required Experience

Work experience in any of the following areas: bookkeeping, auditing, forensic accounting, managerial accounting or staff accounting.

Preferred Experience

Prefer community college teaching experience.
