Lackawanna College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in Philosophy for Fall 2026. This part-time teaching role involves delivering courses, preparing lessons, and assessing student learning in a respectful, diverse environment.
Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's with 18 philosophy credits; prior teaching experience preferred. Courses may be taught in person or through TEAMS, with deadlines and professional expectations outlined by the Dean.

Adjunct instructors are part‑time faculty hired to teach a specified course/s on a per‑semester basis. The opportunity to continue teaching at the college is assessed every semester, and criteria for re‑employment include: Attention to administrative deadlines (i.e., setting up course prior to semester start, grading student work, tracking attendance), timely and professional communication with students and colleagues, and students’ course/instructor evaluations.
