Lackawanna College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor – Mathematics at our Scranton Campus for Fall 2026. This part-time role involves teaching a specified course, preparing lessons, and managing assessments.
The instructor reports to the AVP of Academic Operations and collaborates with the Mathematics/Science Division Chair. We seek candidates with a Master's degree in the content area or Education with a related undergraduate degree, and prior higher-education teaching experience

Adjunct instructors are part-time faculty hired to teach a specified course/s on a per-semester basis. The opportunity to continue teaching at the college is assessed every semester, and criteria for re-employment include: Attention to administrative deadlines (i.e., setting up course prior to semester start, grading student work, tracking attendance), timely and professional communication with students and colleagues, and students’ course/instructor evaluations.
Current openings are for [ DAY, AFTERNOON] classes running at the Scranton Campus for Fall 2026. This position reports to the AVP of Academic Operations, but the primary points of contact will be the Lawrence Pugliese Math/Science Division Chair.
