Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for education to join our nursing faculty as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor. The role focuses on providing classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students, with Tuesdays and Thursdays shifts from 6:00am to 3:00pm.

The instructor guides student learning, evaluates performance, and supports development of professional nursing practice across long-term, sub-acute, and acute care settings.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
