Job summary

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is seeking adjunct instructors to support Nurse Aide and Medication Aide credentialing programs. The role involves delivering didactic and skills instruction to adult learners on a nonresidential campus in Albemarle County, VA.

Courses may run day, evening, weekend at multiple locations. Prior teaching experience, especially with adult learners and online/hybrid formats, is preferred. This is an on-campus position (not remote).

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license (Virginia or compact multistate).
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse and at least one year of direct client care or supervisory experience in long-term care.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to community college philosophy and student success.
• Current AHA-BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide didactic and skills instruction for Nurse Aide/Medication Aide programs.
• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Prepare and deliver instruction across day, evening, weekend offerings.
• Maintain records of participation and performance and support student recruitment activities.
