Job summary

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) invites applications for Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructors in Basic Skills, Med-Surge, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Mental Health areas. Instructors will supervise up to 10 students in clinical settings and help ensure safe practice while coordinating with PVCC nursing faculty.

Hours may include day and evening sessions, with potential for remote instruction. Prior teaching experience in community college settings is preferred and a Master’s degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required for the ADN program.
• Associate degree in Nursing required for the Practical Nursing program.
• Valid RN license to practice nursing in Virginia.
• Minimum two years of direct patient-care experience as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate students’ performance of nursing skills to ensure safe practice.
• Collaborate with full-time PVCC nursing faculty to review student progress.
• Provide direct feedback to students on clinical performance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Associate degree in Nursing

Registered nurse license (Virginia)

Two years RN bedside experience
