Instruct college-level Marine Transportation courses. Preferred specializations include navigation, ship-handling and shipboard safety, seamanship, and watchstanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine Transportation or related field.
• Third Mate license with current STCW qualifications.
• At least three years of professional maritime experience.
• Understanding of university-level teaching.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understand the university's mission as a maritime academy.

Responsibilities

• Instruct college-level Marine Transportation courses.
• Teach courses such as Integrated Navigation, Advanced Shiphandling, Coastal Navigation and Electronic Navigation.
