Qualifications

• STCW BT, Advanced Firefighting including current medical clearance.

• Ship and workboat (tugs, supply, ferries, etc.) experience and endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of classes both on small boats and in the classroom and laboratories.
• Grade student performance and assess STCW competencies as necessary.
• Manage a safe working environment.

Skills

United States Coast Guard license 500-Ton Master or greater

Significant experience in vessel operations

Teaching experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a maritime or industry-related field

Master’s degree in marine transportation or related field
