Job summary

Months per year: 4.5 (Faculty Only)

Salary Range: The internal salary range is $1,485.00/credit for MA/MS; $1,686.00/credit for Ph.D. or Terminal Degree. Labs are compensated at a rate of 1.5 credits per section.

Job Purpose

The Department of Physics at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, is seeking instructors to teach introductory physics laboratory courses for majors and non-majors. The successful candidate will have the enthusiasm, classroom presence and skills to engage students in active learning and should be committed to pursuing excellence in teaching and promoting an inclusive learning environment. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate students of all backgrounds.

  • In-Office Presence - Ability to work on-site in typical office setting and participate in in-person meetings with colleagues: 2 days/week
