Adjunct Instructor – HVAC [Wise County Campus]

Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. This department is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach courses in HVAC, providing instruction and mentoring students across various learning modalities.

Responsibilities

• Teach HVAC courses in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or dual credit formats.
• Develop and deliver instruction that enables students to achieve the specific learning outcomes for the assigned courses.
• Provide timely feedback, respond to student communications, and submit final grades on schedule.
• Maintain an engaging and effective learning environment for all students.
• Attend adjunct faculty meetings and complete required training.
• Mitigate student learning outcomes and assess courses at departmental and institutional levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in HVAC installation, service, and repair.
• EPA certification and a valid license, with copies submitted with application.
• Associate degree with 2‑5 years of work experience; Bachelor’s degree with 6‑10 years; Master’s degree with 11‑15 years; or Doctorate with 16+ years of work experience.
• Valid Southern Association of Colleges and Schools faculty credential or equivalent teaching competence.
• Ability to instruct in multiple modalities and communicate effectively with students and faculty.
• Commitment to maintaining familiarity with College policies and procedures.
