Adjunct Instructor – Education/Learning Frameworks [Wise County Campus]

Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of specific learning outcomes identified for assigned courses.
  • Mentor students inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Create and maintain an effective learning environment in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online (Zoom), or dual credit instruction modalities.
  • Engage in instructional preparation, including timely feedback and communication with students.
  • Assess student performance and submit final grades in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain ethical and professional behavior and treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice.
  • Be available to students by appointment, attend adjunct faculty meetings, assess courses on departmental and institutional levels, and complete required training.
Educational Requirements
  • Earned Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline.
  • Required transcripts, certificates and/or license to be submitted with the application.
