Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington seeks non-credit instructors with demonstrated proficiency in a subject area through education, certifications, or relevant professional or volunteer experience to develop and deliver contract and open enrollment trainings.

Instructors deliver classes in campus settings, live online, or at client sites, with flexible scheduling and a focus on student success, curriculum development, and assessment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in subject areas demonstrated by completed higher education program, certifications, or equivalent professional or volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver non-credit classes as assigned.
• Provide a learning environment that supports student success.
• Collaborate with Ivy+ Career Link Employer Consultants and Program Manager to schedule content and pricing.
• Teach classes in workplace and campus locations to meet company learning objectives.
• Maintain records on attendance, grades, and other information.
• Develop materials for effective delivery of curriculum.
• Participate in training and professional development as needed.
• Notify manager in case of absence and arrange substitutes or rescheduling.
• Conduct all activities with respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.
