Southeast Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for English for the 2026-2027 academic year. This part-time position involves teaching courses such as Composition I and II, along with Business Communications. The successful candidate will enhance student learning through various instructional strategies and maintain ongoing communication with students.
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in English and demonstrate the ability to foster an inclusive environment. Experience in online teaching is desirable.
Under the general direction and supervision of the Associate Dean and English Program Chairs, the Adjunct Instructor is responsible for instructing students in Composition I, Composition II, Business Communications, and Technical Writing. The instructor will create course‑related materials, utilize various teaching strategies – including Engaged Learning practices – monitor and evaluate student progress, maintain accurate records using the required LMS grade book, and communicate with students.
