Position Summary
Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the assigned discipline using face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or dual credit instruction modalities.
• Maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
• Provide hands‑on clinical lab training covering Prometrics skills, administer and grade assignments and exams, complete required NATCEP documentation, and provide timely feedback.
• Ensure students are prepared for the Prometrics certification exam.
• Be available to students by appointment, attend adjunct faculty meetings, and assess courses on departmental and institutional levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education

• Minimum LVN with at least 5 years of work experience in the field of study, including at least one year working in a skilled nursing facility.
• Must be a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) or an RN in the state of Texas with a minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Completed a course focused on teaching adult students or have experience in teaching adult students or supervising nurse aides.
• At least one year of experience providing long‑term care services in a nursing facility.
• Must meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion.

Preferred Education

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Required Experience

• LVN or RN with a minimum of one year of experience providing long‑term care services in a nursing facility.
• Completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides.

Preferred Experience

• Five plus years overall nursing experience.
• Experience teaching adults or supervising nurse aides.
