Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. This continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position is open for appointment where, if a need arises for the academic year, the hiring manager will draw from a pool of approved candidates. Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of specific learning outcomes, and mentoring students inside and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment across all modalities – face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or dual credit instruction. Hours vary depending on course schedules and may include day, evening, and/or weekend instruction.
All faculty members must provide a minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential, normally including an earned Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with the application.
