All faculty positions have as their primary objective to create adynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, whilecontributing service to the college. Faculty responsibilitiesinclude teaching assigned courses and following the coursedescription and course outline established by the department.Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and hybridinstruction and other instructional modalities. In accordance withthe Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement ( CBA ),additional activities may include participation in departmentalinitiatives, evidence of academic achievements, recognition byprofessional and community organizations, and other duties.
Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution inappropriate discipline required. A doctorate and/or licensure in aspecific discipline preferred and may be required depending on thediscipline.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as isevidence of scholarly and/or professional activities. Additionaljob experience may be substituted for a Masters Degree in selecteddiscipline.
Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developmentsand technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability toteach lab courses and/or tutor in learning centers as appropriate.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
