Responsibilities

The Adjunct – Hospitality position provides quality instruction and maintains a positive learning environment in the classroom, with a major emphasis placed on teaching, supporting, and evaluating students. The role involves teaching assigned courses, monitoring teaching/learning effectiveness, exercising oversight of the curriculum in conjunction with department policies, designing appropriate learning activities, utilizing technology, keeping accurate records, managing attendance, grading, and providing feedback. The instructor also conducts classes punctually, uses assessment techniques, engages in meetings with department leadership for professional development, maintains a positive classroom atmosphere encouraging collaborative learning, holds posted office hours, advises students on program and career options, and refers students to support services, fostering a culture of respect and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years industry experience.
• State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work sites.

Compensation

Hourly rate of $55.88 per contact hour. One contact hour equals two instructional hours. Maximum of 12 contact hours per week. Position is part‑time.
