Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking adjunct/part-time faculty in Electrical & Computer Engineering to teach courses at the EPIC location. These positions are temporary and do not accrue benefits.

Responsibilities include developing syllabi, preparing lectures and projects, meeting all class periods, maintaining office hours, and timely grading of assignments and exams according to university guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Faculty teaching undergraduate courses requires doctorate or master's degree in the teaching discipline or master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
  • Faculty teaching graduate courses requires earned doctorate / terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline; UNC Charlotte emphasizes highest earned degree in the discipline.

  • Develop and/or update course syllabus, preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
  • Meeting all designated class periods and maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner; submitting mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
