    • Undergraduate course teaching: doctorate or master's degree in the teaching discipline or master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
    • Graduate course teaching: earned doctorate / terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline. UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the highest earned degree. The university also considers competence, effectiveness, capacity, undergraduate and graduate degrees, related work experience, professional licensure, certifications, honors, awards, and continuous documented excellence in teaching.
