Job Description

The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teachHistory (HI) courses. Historyfaculty teach introductory courses,intermediate thematic surveys, andadvancedtopic seminars.WPI’sHistory program hasparticular strengthsin American, European, East Asian, Latin American, and global histories; the histories of science and technology; urban and environmental histories; imperial and postcolonial histories; and race, gender, and social movements.

We are looking for outstanding scholars, but successful candidates mustalsodemonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an abilityto jumpintoanexisting curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.A successful candidate should hold a PhD in History.
