The position requires a Master’s in Special Education or related field, with preference for doctoral-level preparation and Texas EC–12 certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Special Education or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated professional expertise in special education.
• Experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities in EC–12 settings or higher education in special education.
• Knowledge of assessment, instruction, and IEP development practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in special education.
• Deliver course content across face-to-face, online, hybrid formats.
• Develop and maintain course materials, syllabi, assessments, and resources.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate student records and grades.
• Create a supportive learning environment promoting student success.
• Incorporate PK–12 practices and current research into instruction.
• Support teacher candidates toward Texas certification requirements.
• Collaborate with CEHD faculty, school partners, and supervisors.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in course coordination activities.
