Job summary

University of North Texas System—UNT Dallas seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach EC-12 Special Education courses for Spring 2027. The role supports the UNT Dallas School of Education in preparing future educators through diverse instructional formats and active engagement with students and partners.

The position requires a Master's or higher in Special Education, a strong background in EC–12, and experience with instructional technology and assessment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Special Education, Exceptional Student Education, Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated professional expertise in special education.
• Experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities in EC–12 settings or higher education in special education.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in special education.
• Deliver course content using effective instructional practices for in-person, online, hybrid formats.
• Develop course materials, syllabi, assessments, and resources aligned with program expectations.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate student records and grades.
• Create a supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and professional development.
• Collaborate with faculty and school partners to support teacher candidates.
