Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking a part-time, non-benefited Adjunct Faculty member in the Computer Sciences Division to deliver quality cybersecurity instruction onsite in Gwinnett County, GA, reporting to the Program Director – Cyber Security.

The role focuses on teaching, evaluating student progress, and completing required documentation, with responsibilities including lesson planning, assessments, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the field with graduate-level credits as specified, or a Master's in related field.
• Two years of relevant work experience.
• CISSP and/or Security+ certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans for specified courses in classroom and/or online instruction (20%).
• Evaluate students’ progress toward course goals and objectives (20%).
• Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports (10%).
• Maintain a high level of effort and commitment, operate effectively within the organizational structure, and demonstrate trustworthiness and responsible behavior (20%).
• Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area (10%).
• Accept direction and feedback from the supervisor and follow through appropriately (10%).
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts (5%).
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs, philosophy, and purpose of Gwinnett Technical College (5%).

Employment Terms and Compensation

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. It is classified as FLSA Exempt/Professional. Compensation is provided as a lump sum based on contact hours taught. The shift is any (United States of America).
