Job description

The adjunct faculty member in this position will teach in fall, 2025 at McHenry Community College for Roosevelt University through our partnership. This partnership helps students who have earned the Associate’s degree to complete a BA through Roosevelt while remaining on their campus.

The class that will be taught is Crime in America. This course focuses on crime problems from a historical perspective, with attention given to the social, political, and economic factors affecting crime. Students will review crime trends, efforts of crime prevention, and the evolution in the explanations for criminal behavior.

Working Conditions

Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds). May be exposed to loud noise from instrument and voice practice rooms on-site.
