Job Responsibilities
- Teach courses in English in accordance with the established syllabi to a diverse student body.
- Assess the program's instructional needs, assist in planning and delivery, and evaluate student progress.
- Participate in instructional development activities within the department.
- Maintain posted office hours.
- Proficiency in computer skills is required.
- Commitment to teaching/learning and the college mission.
- Establish good working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and others in the college community.
- Work effectively in teams.
- Exercise initiative, be a self-starter, multi-task, perform tasks independently, and make sound decisions.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in ENG/ENGL courses, for teaching associate degree courses designed for transfer to a baccalaureate degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience at the two-year college level is preferred.
