University of North Texas - Dallas invites applications for Adjunct Faculty – EC-12 Special Education Summer 2027. This role supports the School of Education in delivering courses across formats, including face-to-face, online and hybrid.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field; demonstrated expertise in EC–12 settings; and ability to engage and assess undergraduate and graduate students within teacher-education programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated professional expertise in special education.
• Experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities in EC–12 settings or higher education.
• Knowledge of special education assessment, instruction, and IEP development practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in special education.
• Prepare and deliver course content for face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats.
• Develop and maintain course materials, syllabi, assessments, and resources.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate student records.
• Establish a supportive learning environment to promote student engagement and success.
• Incorporate current educational research and PK–12 practices into instruction.
• Support teacher candidates in meeting Texas educator certification requirements.
• Collaborate with faculty, supervisors, and district partners.
• Participate in required meetings and course coordination.
• Communicate progress and instructional needs with the program coordinator.
• Submit materials and grades by deadlines.
• Maintain professional knowledge and perform related duties as assigned.
