Adjunct, Decision and System Sciences

Position Summary: Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Decision and System Sciences seeks a qualified adjunct instructor to teach business intelligence and analytics courses (decision support systems, database, data mining, AI/Machine Learning, data wrangling, data visualization, Python/R, supply chain modeling, cyber analytics, statistics, and business analytics). Candidates should have demonstrated interest and expertise in these areas, with experience in data analytics application software highly desirable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to students.
• Instruct assigned course(s) and develop course materials including syllabi.
• Use the university learning management system to deliver instruction.
• Participate in Assurance of Learning activities and collaborate with course coordinators to maintain quality and consistency across the program.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, AI/Machine Learning, Supply Chain Management/Modeling, Cyber, or Information Systems.
• Demonstrated teaching or industry experience involving the above disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience.
• Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.

Physical and Other Requirements

May require standing, speaking, and carrying course material for extended periods of time.

Compensation

Adjunct compensation is commensurate with education and relevant work experience.
